A nice Sabbath day

Today we were able to put Caleb in the baby Bjorn and go for a nice stroll around the neighborhood. Caleb was loving the ability to see all the wonders of the world. Chewbacca chased a cat and was very proud of himself for scaring the cat back home.

Wearing great grandmother Ekins' sweater she gave Caleb. Its a 3-6 month size and fits very comfortably now that Caleb is packing on the pounds.

Caleb was able to sit in the Bumbo chair today for the first time! Just yesterday he couldn't hold his head up, and now he is loving sitting in that little bumbo!

Caleb's Blessing. A great day for family.

We had such a great opportunity to have most of our family present for Caleb's blessing. We had a very spiritual fast Sunday meeting and then enjoyed some dinner at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Caleb is such a Joy to us, we had such a great time with all of our family and friend's. Days like this are very special to me and I was glad that everyone came that was able.

Those kids were sure havin' a great time. The jeep was a hit, and the razors flew past faster than the speed of light. (Those keller boy's are amazing)

Caleb's First Halloween...Very Fun!!

We had so much fun hanging out with Caleb's Cousins on Halloween. We had a great time trick or treatin' and the kids got lots of candy! We got to see most of Lindsey's family and got to hang out at Grandma and Grandpas house and have great food and fun. It was great to go out for our first time as parents and see all of the fun and joy that comes from this holiday when you are young.

Nuclear Pharmacy

I have been doing a rotation in nuclear pharmacy that has been so interesting. I am really considering it being my career choice. Dad stopped by and got the tour...he was impressed. Its definitely a specialty in the field of pharmacy.

Since we were just able to get going on our blog, we felt that it would be good to post some of the photos we have accumulated over the past 6 weeks. Caleb is growing fast and mom is working hard to keep him happy. SOOOO Cute!

We love our little doggie chewy and want to give him some props for hanging out with Lindsey during these first few weeks. He is truely mans best friend and is a nuggle bug to say the least...but he also likes to play a little ball.

The Ekins Family Blog

For the inaugural post of our blog we are going to try to coincide our desire to blog with our new found joy in life. Caleb Byron Ekins was born September 5 2008 and has brought such a sweet presence to our home. We are finding out rapidly what being new parents is really all about. He was born at Sutter memorial hospital in Sacramento CA. He was 6 pounds 5 ounces and 19 inches long, with blue eyes and slightly red/brown hair.

The Black and white photo was taken October 15th 2008. Calebs weighs 9 lb. 14 ounces and is gaining fast!
